The Consumer section encompasses various industries such as Consumer Goods, Luxury, and Retail, all of which hold significant appeal for many students. Consequently, there is a strong demand for opportunities within this conglomerate, prompting the need to establish a dedicated section for it within the Diversified Industries category.
Companies within this group typically enjoy a global presence and possess strong brand recognition. Notable examples include L’Oreal, Nike, Procter & Gamble, and LVMH, among others. Within these organizations, a wide array of career possibilities opens up, Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Finance. What’s more, there is ample room for internal growth, whether you choose to advance within your current specialization or explore new areas, provided you demonstrate potential. As a junior student, your profile holds significant allure for these companies.
You have the option to pursue either Graduate/Leadership Programs or explore the Full-Time Market, which provides opportunities for both full-time roles and internships. DIVERSIFIED INDUSTRIES
Many of the companies listed are undergoing important transformations (think Electric Vehicles or Digital Health), so they are excellent fields to build your careers. Since these companies tend to be large multinationals, they offer programs in a variety of areas like Sales, Marketing, and Operations. If you have a technical background, like a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Biology, there are also special opportunities for you!
TECH
Many of the Big Tech companies (Alphabet, Amazon, Meta, Microsoft) have MBA Leadership Programs. It is important to note that several programs only take place in the United States, and require work authorization. Leadership Programs recruit for a several functions like Marketing, Sales, and Operations to provide opportunities for students from a variety of backgrounds. Within Europe, Amazon is the primary player for MBA candidates.
CONSULTING
Consulting firms do not offer Graduate or Leadership Development Programs, as they usually offer a different entry route when graduating from a master. In Consulting, there are two main doors of entry: a 6-month internship opportunity or a regular entry level position. The availability of vacancies as well as the requirements varies among firms and locations. Additionally, it is essential to be prepared before applying because for some programs, you cannot re-apply for 12-18 months after receiving a rejection.
